Monique founded Aboutmyparents.com after working in acute care, nursing homes, home care and hospice when she realized that families were in need of guidance when it came to dealing with their aging parents and long term care issues. Since 1997 she has been advising adult children from all over the country and working with companies that provide eldercare benefits for their employees. Monique has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, holds the designation of being a Certified Professional Geriatric Care Manager and is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. As an army brat Monique grew up in Germany, and then lived in Carmel, California before moving to Keswick, Virginia with her husband,two children and beagle.
